I have been working with Morrison Telecom Services for just over a year. I began my journey here as an admin after leaving university. In honesty, I had hoped to only be in the role for a short time before I could find a Graduate role, however, the opportunities for progression within the company were too good to ignore.

In the space of 1 year, I was promoted to coordinator and now have just become a Trainee Cabler. I think this just shows that there are great opportunities for anyone to work
for this company, even with having no prior knowledge of the industry, like me when I started. I have already been on two training courses
for underground safety and TETRA and will undertake more throughout the year as I build up my skills and knowledge as a field engineer.

I am interested to learn more about what our field engineers do on a daily basis as I move into my new role. I am also interested to learn more about the fibre infrastructure and how it feeds so many homes across the country. I think inclusion and diversity is extremely important for all organisations to provide equal opportunities for all people regardless of race or religion or anything else; that should go without saying. I believe organisations still have a lot of work to do to make people aware of the issues still faced by minorities on a daily basis.

A fun fact about myself is I used to live in the Netherlands and one day I fell off my bike into the canal!
